About

We are people from various heritages connected by Jesus and His mission.

Our vision is to become a planting church. We are particularly excited about planting a new church that gives a future for young people growing up in an immigrant church. We are starting here in Naperville, but we pray that God will lead us beyond this land, beyond this people group. To those who share this burden and passion, let’s set up a time to envision together.

Beliefs

God

We believe in one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The trinity exemplifies the unity and co-equality of the three persons of the Godhead.

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human. We believe that Jesus’ death and resurrection provide the means for redemption and reconciliation with God. He continues to mediate for us, prays for us.

Holy Spirit

We believe in the active work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers, including guidance, empowerment, and the impartation of spiritual gifts. God gives spiritual gifts according to His grace, and it is intended to build up God’s people.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ, not by human works or merit. Salvation is given to those who’ve made a conscious decision to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Scripture

We believe that the Bible is the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and practice; it is divinely inspired, infallible, and inerrant in its original manuscripts.

The Great Commission

We are committed to sharing the Good News of the Gospel to everyone. We believe that this is God’s command for His followers to go and make disciples of all nations.

Second Coming

We believe in the future return of Jesus Christ to establish His kingdom, judge the world, and bring about the final consummation of God's plan.

Pastor

Jin Lee

M.A. Counseling, M. Div, D. Min

Pastor Jin Lee received his training in pastoral studies and professional counseling and has served in a diverse ministry context, including immigrant and multi-ethnic churches.

He is passionate about creating a spiritual home for the lost and helping future generations know the joy of knowing Jesus.

The Kindred Church

Our leadership team is united by two loves: Jesus and helping the next generation discover the joy of knowing Jesus. We are a lay-driven team, seeking wisdom on financial stewardship, developing leaders, and providing a safe place of worship.

Esther Kim

Communication Lead

Esther is currently pursuing a Master's degree in nursing. She serves as communication lead and is passionate about cultivating an inclusive community/environment that encourages spiritual growth and further knowledge of our God!

Aaron Rhee

Ministry Associate

Aaron recently graduated from Wheaton College with a degree in Psychology and aspires to serve the Lord in ministry. He is passionate about welcoming the prodigals and lost back into a loving relationship with their heavenly Father. “There is no greater joy than knowing Jesus!”
